KTMW Chicken Rice – Takeaway Food Outlet Interior Design in Singapore

Overview
KTMW is a chicken rice takeaway concept designed by Skai Atelier as part of a commercial F&B interior design and renovation project in Singapore. The store was created to serve as an efficient and visually distinctive takeaway destination for customers seeking quick and convenient meals.
Our objective was to design a compact food outlet that supports high customer turnover while maintaining a clean and memorable brand identity — focusing on clear ordering flow, efficient kitchen integration, and a welcoming storefront presence.
Design Concept
The concept focuses on simplicity, clarity, and operational functionality. As a takeaway-focused concept, the layout prioritises visibility and accessibility from the storefront while maintaining an organised service counter. The palette combines durable materials with clean lines, keeping the space visually appealing while withstanding the daily demands of a busy food outlet.

Strategy
F&B interior design strategy
Designing a takeaway concept requires careful coordination between customer flow and back-of-house operations. Our strategy focused on a layout that minimises congestion while maintaining efficient staff movement behind the counter. The service area anchors the space so customers can easily view menu offerings and order, with lighting and materials chosen to emphasise cleanliness, durability, and visual clarity.
